Description: The master bedroom is en suite (tub) on the ground floor. Mezzanine with two large beds and separate bathroom (shower) on ground floor. Ideal for a family with up to 4 children (depending on age). Fully equipped for self-catering including BBQ with wood supplied. Parking next to the cottage. Views are over fynbos fields towards Kleinriver Mountains.

With the Kleinrivier running through it, mountain views, and just 30 minutes from the sea-side town of Hermanus, Stanford is ideally positioned for couples and families looking for a laid-back getaway in a quaint and historic village that remains true to its entrepreneurial roots – pop into one of the antique stores, restaurants, vineyards or coffee shops. For the adventurous – horse riding, boat cruises, hikes, bird watching and Great White Shark Cage diving are all within a 20km radius of the village.

One night’s deposit is needed to confirm booking and / or VISA or Mastercard credit card details are required.
If not prepaid, payment must be made at departure either in cash or by credit card. No cheques or accounts can be accepted.
Cancellation Policy:
- Booking cancelled 3 months prior to arrival or earlier: Full Refund
- Booking cancelled between 1 month and 3 months prior to arrival: 50% Refund
- Booking cancelled within 30 days of arrival / or no show: No Refund

There are many activities and things to do in our area. They are as varied as you could wish.
Below are some of them for your information.
Walker Bay offers various excellent whale watching spots. The lagoon and the Kleinriver area are famous for bird watchers, with the nearby town of Stanford declared as the “bird watcher’s paradise of the Overberg”. Various nature reserves nearby invite you to explore the local fauna and flora.
Our 300-hectare property offers private hiking and jogging trails with plenty of bird and animal watching, in the middle of the real “Fynbos Kingdom”. Our salt water over-flow swimming pool, dropping into a kids’ pool, is available to all our guests. The comfortable deck chairs around the pool area invite you to read a book, to sip a lovely South African wine or simply to snooze away and relax.
There are day trips to Cape L’Agulhas – the tip of Africa, Arniston, Hermanus, the coastal winelands, Greyton and other places of interest. We highly recommend a visit to Platbos, Africa’s southernmost forest, and to Panthera Africa – an environmentally friendly sanctuary for captive-bred big cats.
Cruises on the Klein River and the Lagoon nearby as well as kayaking on the open sea are available.
An off-road 4×4 on a private farm up into the Overberg is available for the more adventurous. Fishing in the lagoon, from the boat in the open sea or from the rocks, as well as horseback riding are also exciting activities in our area.
Hermanus features one of the most famous and beautiful golf courses in the country.
