Total number of units available: Emahlathini Guest Farm offers 10 unique self-catering units, perfect for reps, families, contractors and tourists. Breakfast and dinner are available on request.
All units have their own kitchenette with fridge, induction stove, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery, microwave, etc, ideal for self-catering.
Each unit has its own private patio with barbeque facility.
The Hippo has 2 apartments with 2 separate rooms in the unit, the first room has a king size bed with en-suite bath and shower. The second bedroom inside the unit has 2 single beds with en-suite shower.
The Rhino is an open plan family unit and has a queen size and 2 single beds. The en-suite bathroom has a shower and there is also a fully equipped kitchenette and patio.
The Elephant and the Buffalo can be rented separately or together. The elephant is an open plan family unit on the ground floor with 1 queen and 2 singles, en-suite shower and kitchenette with its own private patio with braai facilities.
The Buffalo unit is on the upper levels above the elephant unit and has its own balcony with braai facility, fully equipped kitchenette as well as an ensuite shower. It has 1 queen, 3 singles and a double sleeper couch.
The Chameleon has a queen size bed and a double sleeper couch. Own kitchenette, patio with braai facility, and en-suite shower.
The Butterfly has a queensize and a single bed in an open plan family configuration with ensuite shower, fully equipped kitchenette and patio with braai facility.
The Flower has 2 single beds which are combined to be a super king size bed so that this serves as our honeymoon suite. This unit has an ensuite bathroom with spa bath as well as a fully equipped kitchenette and patio with braai facility.
The Giraffe has 2 single beds which can be joined to form a kingsize bed or separated. The ensuite bathroom has a shower and there is a fully equipped kitchenette and patio with braai facility.
The Ladybug has 2 single beds with ensuite shower, kitchenette and braai.
The Fish has 2 three quarter beds and ensuite bathroom with separate bath and shower.
All units are supplied with free firewood for those extra chilly nights, as well as ice.
Breakfast can gladly be served on request.

Swaziland: We are 500m from the border so a day visit to the candle and glass-factory is a must.
Natal Spa: Mineral baths +/- 60km from the farm.
Rhino watching: Guided tour and game drive +/- 100km from Piet Retief. Be sure to spot the rhino and other animals.
Wakkerstroom: +/- 80km from Piet Retief! Bird watching paradise.
Emahlathini Guest Farm is surrounded by mountains ideal for hiking, biking and Quad-Bikeriding through the plantations
We offer fishing on a catch and release term. The Dam holds Bass as well as Curper.
So bring your Quad and rod and come and play.
Children enjoy all the farm animals, jungle gym and trampoline.
From Ermelo side: When entering Piet Retief, you will find SASOL and KFC on your left. Just past KFC turn left into Theo Mocke Street. +/- 2 km Turn right onto Emahlathini via Klein Vrystaat.
Continue 20km and find us on the right hand side.
From Pongola/ Vryheid side: Pass straight through town, Last street before leaving town is Theo Mocke street. KFC and SASOL will be in front of you. You turn right in Theo Mocke street. +/- 2 km Turn right onto Emahlathini via Klein Vrystaat. Continue 20km and find us on the right hand side.
From O.R. Tambo International Airport, O R Tambo Airport Rd, Johannesburg. Get on R21 from To Parking Rd (1.9 km) Follow N17 and N2 to Mpumalanga (294 km) Drive to your destination
