The largest three bedroom 2 bathroom chalet sleeps 6 with a queen size bed and twin beds (2 singles) in each of the other 2 bedrooms.
The standard one bedroom chalet has a queen size bed in the main en suite and sleeper couch in the lounge. (sleeps 2 and a child).
There are 4 x two bedroom chalets with a second upstairs loft bedroom (sleeps 4 or 5).
These are perfect for families, as the kids love the loft room.
The fully equipped kitchen has a fridge, stove and microwave oven.
Each chalet boasts its own patio and comfortable lounge with TV. DSTV available if you bring your own decoder.
Directions To Emerald Cove
- Take the N2 south from Durban.
- At Port Shepstone continue on the R61 to Margate, taking the Shelly Beach off ramp (No.39).
- Turn left at the top of the off ramp towards the sea.
- Go past the South Coast Mall on your left side.
- At the traffic lights (T-Junction) turn right.
- Go straight through 2 sets of traffic lights, passing the Shelly Centre shopping mall on your left.
- About 1 Km after the shopping mall, look out for Emerald Cove on your left. (Just after Surf Bay Centre which is on your right).
- We are just before the bridge over the Mhlangeni River at St. Michaels-on-Sea.

What To Do Near & Around Emerald Cove
Emerald Cove is a great place to enjoy fun in the sun, simply by walking out onto St Michaels Beach.
You Can:
- Surf the waves,
- Fish off the rocks,

- Explore the rock pools filled with marine life and gather shells,
- Take a paddle boat or canoe up the lagoon,
- Or relax on the golden sand.
St Mikes is also a popular surfing break with good waves all year round, which attract the surfers, body boarders, paddle skiers and kite surfers.
The South Coast boasts miles of golden beaches, including 7 Blue flag Beaches, a prestigious award given only to beaches that meet excellence in cleanliness, safety and environmental standards.
We can arrange a deep sea fishing trip or a dolphin / whale watching pleasure cruise. Nature Walks & hikes, Horse Riding and Mountain biking are a few of the many things to do. Visit a Crocodile Farm, Snake Park, Coffee Farm or the Wild Coast water park.
Also known as the Golf Coast, there are 9 top golf courses within under an hour’s drive of Emerald Cove.
A great way to experience nature’s wonders are the nine well developed nature reserves, all with beautiful hiking trails.
The most famous being Oribi Gorge, with its spectacular deep gorge and rock formations. Well worth a visit. The more adventurous can try abseiling, white water rafting and the world’s highest swing.
