Here is a list of activities in the Garden Route; our shuttle service is available at an additional fee to take you to all these places. We also offer a service to make your reservations with any of these places.

For day excursion we can arrange all the activities for you and make payment to all the appropriate places and you just pay us the all inclusive amount. If you wish to have a picnic basket for the day this can be arranged at an additional cost, please discuss this with our receptionist.

The Cango Caves are a series of dripstone caverns that open into vast halls of towering stalagmite formations with names like ‘the bridal couple’, ‘glass flower fantasy’, ‘weird cango candle’ and ‘the hanging shawl’.

Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary is home to the big cats such as lions, cheetahs, Bengal tigers, leopard (spotted and black), jaguar, pumas, caracal and serval cats and other wildlife species. The Knysna Heads Oyster Experience involves a cruise from Thesen Island Harbour and out over the main lagoon to the Knysna Heads. The heads, although impressive are dangerous to pass through and therefore make Knysna one of the most dangerous ports in the world! The guide on board the boat will point out various places of interest and pass on information about the Knysna Lagoon.

The Knysna Sunset Cruise is a unique combination of the Knysna Heads Tour, the Oyster Farm Tour as well as a cruise on the stunning Knysna Lagoon. Included is a guided tour of the oyster beds (where you can get to know and taste the difference between wild and cultivated oysters) and the rest of the lagoon as the sun sets.

To ride an Ostrich, visit one of the Ostrich Show Farms in Oudtshoorn, South Africa. Here you can observe large flocks of Ostriches at different stages of development. There are petting areas where you can cuddle the chicks or feed an ostrich by hand, watch how feather dusters and boas are made. Birds of Eden in Plettenberg Bay is the world’s largest single span aviary, just a few kilometres east of Plettenberg Bay in the Garden Route, where birds are free to fly free provides an incredible experience for those who visit, and a wonderful way of life for over 2000 previously caged birds. The completely unique venture of Birds of Eden is an enormous two hectare dome spanning a gorge filled with verdant, indigenous forest. Within it are some 100 species of incredible African birds, a few of them endangered, that provide anyone entering the dome with a literal experience of paradise.
