SUNSET – A Frame cabin
Sleeps 2 people comfortable and 2 mattresses in loft. (Mattresses in loft are ideal for children). Bath, toilet and basin on-suite.
SEEKAROO – Dormitory
Sleep 12 people on 6 bunker beds. Use outside ablution blocks with showers and toilets. This room is directly below the A-Frame Cabin.
RAASWATER – Room
Sleep 3 people. One bunker bed and a single bed in room. Use ablution blocks next to room.
DIE GROT – Dormitory
Sleeps 6 people on 3 bunker beds.(Space for 1 single bed also) This used to be our storage room in the hall so its entrance is in our hall and we recommend it for the people who will be up the latest because of the noise in the hall. But it’s got a lovely view over the river and nice to be close to the action. Use outside ablution blocks.
TENTS
We use 3×3 tents for more accommodation. We can accommodate 2 – 12 people. We can equip these tents with mattresses. They are perfect for a couple not wanting to share a dormitory room with other guests.
CAMPSITE
Our campsite does not have marked plots. You can pitch your tent or park your caravan where you like. There are a few electricity points from where you can lay an extension cord. The campsite are covered with grass and do have shade. We only take in a limited amount of people in at a time, to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
Ablution blocks
Two hot water showers in both men and women sides. with 2 toilets in each and basins.
Kitchen
The communal kitchen have the following facilities: Gas burner, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle, Fridge and Deepfreeze. All cutlery and crockery included.
Lapa / Hall
The hall overlooks the river and has seating space for 40 – 50 people. Braai and bar area with a Deepfreeze and Fridge.
Please note
We also make use of Fish River Country Lodge on our 3 day trips when doing sections on the Fish River. This used to be an old farmhouse, now a spacious guesthouse with four bedrooms, each on suite and can sleep up to 20 people. This house is about 500m from the river near Katkop weir.

RIVER RAFTING
One-to-four day rafting trips are available on newly-acquired rafts. The rafting takes place over the Fish River Marathon course as well as on the Brak and Teebus rivers. Rapids on all the courses range from grade 1 to 4.
Each trip is organized to meet the individual needs of visitors. All trips are overseen by qualified guides trained and affiliated to the African Paddling Association (APA).
HIKING
Magnificent hikes through the veldt and along numerous mountain trails. All levels of fitness can be accommodated.
CANOEING
Bring your canoes and practice on all year round fast-flowing waters with many challenging and exciting rapids from grade 1 to 4.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Bring your bikes and ride stunning trails through the Karoo landscape.
SWIMMING
Cool off and relax in the fresh waters of the Great Brak River.
HEALTH SPA
Unwind in the nature-made Jacuzzi at the base of the waterfall and enjoy a massage from the rushing waters of the Great Brak River.
BIRD WATCHING
Watch the wide variety of birdlife from the comfort of your chalet on the banks of the river.
FISHING
Fish for carp, barbel and yellow fish in the river
