We do accept children from all ages. Children under 12 can be accommodated with 2 adults sharing in either one of our Standard twin bedded garden rooms, family / triple chalets and Superior Eco Rooms.
The Standard garden rooms are suitable for 2 adults & 1 child under 12 sharing and the family / triple chalets for 2 adults & 1 child, 2 adults & 2 children under 12 and 3 adults sharing.
We have found that three adults sharing cannot be accommodated in the Standard garden rooms seeing that the room is not spacious enough.
We make up an extra bed in the Standard Garden rooms
We make up an extra bed and/or sleeper couch in the Family Chalets
We make up a sleeper couch in the Superior Eco Estate Rooms
Total number of units available: 87
Set within lush gardens on a 2 hectare estate, the tastefully decorated accommodation consists of 15 Garden Chalets,64 Garden Rooms, and 8 Superior Eco Estate Rooms.
Four of the rooms come with sleeper couches to accommodate up to two children (under 12) sharing with parents.
GARDEN ROOMS
The 64 twin-bed Garden Rooms are all well equipped with ceiling fans, tea and coffee facilities, satellite television and hairdryers, as well as covered patios. All rooms are decorated in a fresh, natural style and offer clean and crisp comfort with all modern amenities.
GARDEN & FAMILY CHALETS
The 15 Garden Chalets offer relaxed open-plan living areas leading onto private bedrooms each with their own patio. Wood-burning fireplaces add atmosphere and warmth in the cooler months – perfect for romantic evenings.
The Garden Chalets are decorated with hand-crafted furniture and are equipped with ceiling fans, tea and coffee facilities, mini-bar fridges, telephones, flat-screen satellite televisions, heated towel rails and Charlotte Rhys guest amenities.
SUPERIOR ECO ESTATE ROOMS
Tucked away in a quiet corner of the Estate, the 8 Superior Eco Estate rooms overlook a perennial dam with prolific birdlife. The spacious rooms are decorated in a fresh Scandinavian-style which combines natural wooden finishes with a refined palette of blues and greys creating a calm and inviting space.
These tranquil rooms are equipped with fantastic comforts and amenities and boasts privacy and exclusivity in the surrounding lush, indigenous gardens.
Set amongst timeless Oak and Pecan Nut trees on a 2 hectare secluded country estate near the Knysna Lagoon, Knysna Hollow is only 45 minutes from George and 2.5 hours from Port Elizabeth.
Knysna is well known for its rich green forests and endless lakes. For the nature lover, Knysna is home to a myriad of fauna and flora, the elusive Loerie and the fabled Knysna Elephants.

The Knysna area is also renowned for some of South Africa’s finest Golf courses and Golf Estates, including Pezula Golf Course, Simola Golf Course and the well established Knysna Golf Course situated on the lagoon.
Knysna is a vibrant little town, with fantastic restaurants, many very up-market, plenty to do, plenty to see, amazing year-round pleasant weather… this is a place you have to visit!
BY CAR
Knysna can be easily accessed by road as it lies on the N2 between Cape Town (500 km) and Port Elizabeth (280 km). Knysna’s biggest neighbouring towns are George (60 km) and Plettenberg Bay (35 km).
Driving Directions from George to Knysna Hollow Country Estate
- Driving from George on the N2 towards Knysna.
- Turn left into Welbedacht Lane at the first set of traffic lights (approximately 2 kms before Knysna Town).
- Knysna Hollow Country Estate is approximately 300m on your right hand side.

BY AEROPLANE
George Airport is a mere 65 km away and provides a variety of daily flight options. Currently SA Express, Kulula and Mango have daily scheduled flights into George.
Plettenberg Bay Airport (35 km) can only accommodate chartered flights at the moment.
We suggest that you allow 1 hour travelling time to George for out of season periods and 1 hour 45 minutes travelling time in peak season (Dec, Jan, Oyster Festival).

A 50% deposit confirms your booking / reservation.
All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit or EFT payment of deposit.

By confirming your booking with a deposit payment you are also accepting our terms and conditions as well as our cancellation policy.
Cancellation Policy:
10% of the total value of the reservation will be charged as an administration fee over and above the cancellation fees.
Cancellation Fees are as follows:
- 45 – 30 days prior to arrival – 25% of the total accommodation value
- 30 – 15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the total accommodation value
- 15 – 7 days prior to arrival – 75% of the total accommodation value
- 7 days or less prior to arrival – 100% of the total accommodation value

The highlight of your visit will undoubtedly be a visit to the Wild Oats Community Farmers Market, in Sedgefield, on a Saturday morning.
