Children of all ages are welcome at our place of glory. We cater for their every need from child-friendly decks, special kiddies menu’s, camping cots and sleeper coaches for under 12’s to a special activities program under the watchful eyes of a dedicated game ranger. The jungle gym and play area is the perfect place to shed some excess energy in a healthy way. Babysitters are also available upon request for your convenience.
Children under the age of 12 years (maximum two children per room) will be accommodated free of charge on a fully inclusive basis if sharing with one or two adults. Children occupying their own rooms will be charged the full adult rate.
Total number of units available: 24
Guests are housed in 24 luxurious chalets, each with a private deck offering spectacular views of the malaria free big five reserve below. All chalets, of which three are wheelchair accessible, features an en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, direct dialling telephones and free WiFi.
Chalets can either be made up as double or twin rooms with a sleeper couch for children under the age of 12. We even offer kiddies friendly patio’s to keep toddlers safe and secure without affecting your panoramic view.
From Port Elizabeth Airport via the R400 to Kuzuko Lodge (170km)
* From the airport, follow the sign boards for the N2 towards Grahamstown
* Continue for approximately 60km until the road forks, carry straight on along the N10
* DO NOT take the left split for the N2 continue with the N10 past the Nanaga Farm Stall turn-off
* After 21km you will find a green sign board marked Paterson / Addo Elephant National Park (DO NOT turn here) continue along the N10 for a further 40km passing over the Olifantskop Mountain Pass
* Once through the mountain pass you will find a green sign board stating Ann’s Villa continue past it for a further 10km
* Turn left on a gravel road at the green sign reading (R400) Jansenville / Riebeeckstad & Grahamstown
* There is a Kuzuko Lodge sign on the side of the white building on the corner as well as a brown Kuzuko Lodge sign board in the mouth of the turn. Follow the R400 gravel road for 25km to T-Junction.
* Turn right at the white sign board stating Kuzuko Lodge 23km.
* Keep left as the road forks following the brown Kuzuko Lodge sign boards.
* Continue for approximately 12km turn left at the brown sign board stating Kuzuko Lodge 11km.
* After 11km you will come to the Kuzuko Lodge Reception building. This is a white Cape style building used as a welcome & educational centre.
* Proceed to park your car undercover.
* Our game rangers are waiting here to whisk you off to our 5 star Lodge.

The rates reflect the amount per room, per night, for a single or double room respectively, for a minimum 2-night stay Friday and Saturday – fully inclusive. Rates also include two game activities per day, dinner, high tea and breakfast. These rates apply to Luxury and wheel-chair access rooms.

Cancellations – for two or less rooms – within 48 hours prior to arrival will be subject to a full cancellation fee of the value of the accommodation booked.
Cancellations – for three to nine rooms – within seven days prior to arrival will be subject to a full cancellation fee of the value of the accommodation booked.
Cancellations – ten rooms or more, group cancellation policy will apply.

Wilderness Ramble – Ages 5 to 10
Let’s get up close and personal with all the local Goggas, Jurassic descendants and other interesting visitors and plants around the lodge. All sorts of treasures to be collected for fun art activities afterwards.
Do it like the Khoisan Kids did it – Ages 8 to 14
Experience the Karoo the Bushmen way. Explore nature and the remnants of caves and Khoisan painting gallery. Memorise the paintings to be redrawn using your paint brush made from a local plant on return to the lodge.
Kids on Safari – Ages 6 to 15 or 99 its really up to you
Explore our big five reserve on a private kids safari, learning about the big and the small five and all the other critters living out there.
Tiny Tots – Up to age 5
Outdoor jungle gym, colouring, puzzles, games and fun activities on offer in a secure environment.
On behalf of the wildlife department we would like to invite you to participate in our additional wildlife activities, specially tailor-made to put you in touch with nature on ground level – allow nature to touch you while you engage with all your senses …. feel, smell, touch, taste, listen and hear under the guidance of one of our experienced rangers
Nature Walk
This walk is intended to provide guests with the freedom to explore the unique landscape and its natural fauna and flora with your ranger in an area where there are no Big 5 animals. Giraffes may be encountered. All ages welcome.
Bushman Paintings Exploration
Experience this national heritage site through the eyes of a Khoisan enjoying the history and deeper meaning of these ancient Khoisan paintings as interpreted in detail by your ranger. Medium fitness required. All ages welcome.
Plant & Gogga walk as part of Kids Activities
Here the focus is on the small 5 and all the other creepy crawlies in and around the Lodge perimeter. Include a fun activity backpack and goodies for under 10’s but all ages welcome to join in.
Game Walk
Here we depart from the lodge on foot walking into the Big 5 reserve, the focus is on learning more about the fauna and flora without actively seeking out specific Big 5 members. Medium fitness required. Age restriction 16.
Big 5 Walk
For the first part of this activity, we will be driving into the Big 5 reserve until your trails guide picks up on the necessary tracks required to start this focused activity, you will also learn a lot about the natural fauna and flora, tracking members of the Big 5 for a closer encounter. Medium fitness levels required. Age restriction 16 maximum. Maximum 4 or 8 guests allowed depending on availability of trails guides.
