Nestled in the shade of indigenous Camelthorn trees over 100meters of tiled pathway leads you from the lodge to the new luxury tented accommodation. Mattanu’s luxury tents offer accommodation for family, friends, or small groups. Exuding warmth and effortless hospitality that characterises Mattanu Private Game Reserve, the luxury tents offer unparalleled intimacy and seclusion.

Five luxury tents, each with a private viewing deck overlooking a waterhole, are decorated in African design, complete with luxury sleeper wood furnishings, full bathroom en-suite, indoor showers and air-conditioning with under floor heating. Here you will savour uncompromising high standards of service, efficiency and personalised attention. A rock waterfall featured swimming pool will serve as a welcome relaxation on your return from a hot day in the Kalahari bush.

Luxury thatched roof suite
One luxury suite is available which can accommodate 4 adults. One room is a double bed loft room and the other is either a twin room or can be moved together as a queen. Includes an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and a morning game drive followed by breakfast. This double story, thatched roof building is very private and offers its own bar, fire place lounge with plasma screen, lapa, viewing deck and two bathrooms. You will also receive a welcoming drink, cooldrinks, champagne and chocolate in the rooms.

Luxury thatched roof self catering option

This option is available which would include all amenities, fire wood and all basic cutlery and crockery. This double storey, thatched roof building is very private and offers its own bar, fire place lounge with plasma screen, lapa, viewing deck and two bathrooms.

Luxury Log Cabin
One luxury Log Cabin is available which can accommodate 4 adults. Both rooms are identical, en-suite with corner bath and shower, and opens up onto a wooden veranda with a view of the waterhole.
The Cabin is very private and offers a fire place lounge with plasma screen, own braai area, covered veranda, fully equipped kitchen and undercover parking. This includes an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and a morning game drive followed by breakfast. You will also receive a welcoming drink, coldrinks, champagne and chocolate in the rooms.

Luxury Log Cabin self catering option

One luxury Log Cabin is available which can accommodate 4 adults. Both rooms are identical, en-suite with corner bath and shower, and opens up onto a wooden veranda with a view of the waterhole.
The Cabin is very private and offers a fire place lounge with plasma screen, own braai area, covered veranda, fully equipped kitchen and undercover parking.
