Across race, language, region and religion, South Africans share a common heritage – when we have something to celebrate we light fires, and prepare great feasts. It is called many things: Chisa Nyama, Braai and Ukosa to name few. On 24 September every year we celebrate this heritage as National Heritage Day and National Braai Day. Let’s call on all South African friends and family to unite around fires, wave our flag and share our heritage. Here are a number of venues across the country which will be offering special Braai Day festivities.
