Only 8 kms outside of Howick on the Currys Post Road, the restaurant offers visitors good food and breath taking panoramic views of the Kamberg and Karkloof Valley.
Tumble Downs Restaurant and Cafe was opened by Werner and Michele Jacobs in 2006. Situated on an original stud farm in the Karkloof, Tumble Downs has successfully succeeded in transforming a once run down stable block into a comfortable café & restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The a la carte menu offers an interesting range of freshly prepared meals for breakfasts, teas and lunches with a totally separate menu offered on Friday and Saturday nights for dinners.
Children are most welcome at Tumble Downs. The unrestricted freedom of the lawns and play area allows them to burn off some energy before sitting down to enjoy a tasty meal off the kids’ menu.
Whether it’s for tea under the trees, lunch on the veranda, sundowners on the deck or dinner under the stars, you should pay Tumble Downs a visit!
Trading Hours are 11am – 4pm Tuesday to Sunday (Closed Mondays except for Public Holidays).
Dinners are from 6:30pm Friday and Saturday nights. Other evening meals are available for group bookings.
