The Jolly Roger is the only pirate boat in South Africa and offers the young at heart an authentic adventure-filled experience and is particularly popular as a party boat for themed parties, and for families with young children.
Generally, we have a mid-morning; lunchtime; and afternoon scheduled trip per vessel. Trips are 60 minutes in duration on the Pirate Boat.
Expect breath-taking panoramic views of Table Mountain and the surrounding coastline. Dependent on the direction of your cruise, you may spot Robben Island, Granger Bay, Bantry Bay and Clifton. We often sight dolphins, whales and other marine life – however this is according to season (whales) and their personalities on the day (dolphins)! Other than that, there is always a mandatory friendly greeting from boats passing by.
A cruise on the Jolly Roger pirate boat will in addition entertain pirate fantasies with a 10-minute pirate reenactment.
We have cash bars on the Jolly Roger, Tigresse, Ameera, and Ice Blue. On other boats you will need to bring your own beverages. We can arrange catering for private charters and kiddies parties, however on daily scheduled trips we do not provide any food. You are welcome to bring your own snacks along, just take care to dispose of them in the bins provided.
AHOY there Matey…
Treat your child and his friends if you dare by hosting their next birthday party on board the fearsome Jolly Roger Pirate boat moored in the V & A Waterfront. We provide a number of packages that includes a trip out to sea on an authentic pirate boat (weather dependent), lunch with a party box, décor and a treasure trove of activities to keep young and old entertained.
Yacoob Yachts offices are located at Shop 8, Quay 5, V&A Waterfront.
You will find us on Quay 5, nestled between Sevruga and Seelan restaurants. Our flagship vessels, Tigresse and Jolly Roger are moored at Quay 5 – and you will easily spot them if they are not out on a trip. Look out for the branded ticket boxes that stand on the Quayside in front of the boats moorings – here you can enquire or buy a ticket for the next trip. If you struggle to find us, there are plenty of helpful security guards as well as information stations in the V&A Waterfront that can direct you.
