ROOMS
Each of our 16 distinctive rooms has been individually designed with beautifully appointed en-suite bathrooms, many with free-standing baths, wooden floors and bespoke decorative chandeliers.
Bask in the mountain views from upstairs in ‘The Xhosa’, beautifully crafted double rooms, or ‘The Zulu’, with its picturesque views of the exquisite gardens and sparkling pool.
SUITE
‘The Sangoma’ offers the unique convenience of two utterly luxurious rooms, adjacent to each other, with free-standing baths and large balconies overlooking the tranquil pool and indigenous garden area. They also make the perfect family apartment complete with their own private entrance.
Aside from the original décor style and feel we’ve added a host of modern conveniences to make your stay as enjoyable as possible including plasma screen satellite televisions, telephones, safes and air conditioning, I-Pod Stations as well as internet and wireless connection.

Hout Bay is situated in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula, twenty kilometres from Cape Town’s Central Business District.
The picturesque village is surrounded by mountains, the Atlantic Ocean and Table Mountain National Park. The world famous Chapman’s Peak Drive is carved out of the mountainside and leads towards Noordhoek and onwards to Cape Point.
The sheltered bay has a white sand beach and one of the busiest fishing harbours in the Western Cape, with an established tuna, snoek and crayfish industry. The harbour is home to the Hout Bay Yacht Club and several restaurants.
DIRECTIONS FROM CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (+/- 30 MINUTES):
- Take the N2 to Cape Town. Follow the signs to M3 Muizenberg (Kirstenbosch).
- Follow the M3 past the University of Cape Town.
- At the first traffic light turn right into Rhodes Drive following the signs to Kirstenbosch and Hout Bay.
- Keep on Rhodes Drive going past Kirstenbosch and up Constantia Nek following the signs to Hout Bay.
- At the bottom of Constantia Nek there is a traffic circle.
- Continue straight into Main Road.
- Once in Hout Bay Village you will pass a Shell Garage on your left.
- Take the next turn left under the ‘Hout Bay Manor’ archway.
- The Hotel is 500m down the road on the left.
DIRECTIONS FROM CAPE TOWN CITY BOWL (+/- 25 MINUTES):
- Take the Kloof Nek Road as if driving to the Table Mountain Cable car.
- Continue straight along this road which leads down into Camps Bay.
- At the Stop sign, turn left into Houghton Road which leads down to Victoria Road and directs one around the coast towards Hout Bay.
- As you head over the hill into Hout Bay, turn left at the Traffic Light.
- Go over the first traffic circle and turn right at the second circle.
- From here, you will pass two petrol stations – the first a BP and the second a Shell Garage.
- Turn left just after the traffic light at Shell Garage under the ‘Hout Bay Manor’ archway.
- The Hotel is 500m down the road on the left.
