The lodge offers braai/BBQ facilities. Braai/BBQ and picnic baskets can be ordered with refreshments for your convenience. Alternatively, enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch and ala carte dinner in our restaurant. Comprehensive wine and beverage menu available.

Ocean View Family Lodge

This lodge incorporates two separate bedrooms with luxurious percale linen, en suite showers with eco-friendly amenities, a small kitchenette where family dinners can be enjoyed and an open plan lounge with bed couch for possible 5th person. All rooms lead onto spacious sun patios with a braai, perfect for large families to gather and enjoy the magnificent sunsets and fun filled evenings.

It is the perfect home away from home experience, to gather after enjoying the diverse activities offered by Misty Mountain Reserve, or visiting animal sanctuaries and entertainment spots in the surrounding areas.

Ocean View Self Catering Lodge

Our timber lodge offers a large, cosy bedroom, beautiful en suite bathroom with spa bath and shower, eco-friendly amenities and an open-plan living area with a fireplace and kitchenette. The deck entices you to embrace nature and be in awe of the spectacular sunsets.

Ocean View Presidential Tented Lodge

Guests can relax on the large wooden deck and enjoy an authentic nature experience. Wake up to the sounds of birds and the ocean crashing on the shore line. Surround yourself with nature in ultimate luxury.

This private, open plan lodge offers the feeling of true relaxation, has an opulent bedroom and living area and an open plan bathroom with slipper bath and shower. Canvass panels open all around, allowing you to view the beauty of the surrounds. Outside nature shower for your enjoyment.

Lake Side Luxury Tented Lodge

Mountain View Rustic Farm Cottages

The cottages were the first buildings to be built at Misty, originally the labour cottages, now restored to our Rustic Farm Cottages offering beautiful views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and open green pastures.

The cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms, main bedroom queen bed, second bedroom two single beds, central bathroom with shower, cosy open plan lounge and kitchenette. Screeded cement floors and original open wood fire oven, perfect for chilly farm winters. Private shaded braai area and central Boma for evenings around the bonfire.

Firewood, percale linen, bath towels and bathroom amenities, tea and coffee station are included with your stay. The cottages are serviced daily.

Our friendly staff can pre-book activities, braai and picnic baskets for your convenience.

Please note:

Due to the cottages being situated at the entrance to the property, the main lodge is 100m down the road, enjoy fresh mountain air on the short walk to the restaurant, entertainment TV lounge, bar and swimming pool. Wi-Fi hotspots at main lodge.

The reserve offers activities, such as scenic indigenous forest walks, fresh water fishing, mountain biking, and a 9-hole mashie chip and wedge golf course. The Misty Mountain Reserve is also surrounded by many wild animal sanctuaries and adventurous activities including canopy tours, bungy jumping and water parks. Misty Mountain Reserve Lodge and Luxury Tented Camps is easily reached within 168 km from the Port Elizabeth Airport. Tours and shuttle services are available on request.
